Passive House New England was founded by eighteen members in May, 2011. Our members include architects, contractors, developers, energy consultants, engineers, and others who share a deep interest in energy efficiency and the Passive House (PH) Standard in particular. Many of us are using the PH Standard and Passive House Planning Package (PHPP), an energy modeling tool, for the design and construction of new and retrofit buildings.
Passive House New England is a grass-root, volunteer-led and run organization. Our monthly meetings include some business and networking, followed by a presentation and lively discussion. We strictly adhere to a 15% business, 85% content philosophy. We also maintain an active online bulletin board for members and send a monthly eNewsletter to a larger group.
